NEED TO KNOWS

what is pilates?

Pilates is a mind-body method of exercise that focuses on aligning and strengthening the whole body to improve balance, muscle control, flexibility, and posture. according to founder Joseph Pilates, the Pilates Method is a “complete coordination of body, mind, and spirit.”

what is a reformer? how many do you have?

the reformer is a traditional Pilates apparatus that uses a spring and pulley system to create resistance. by changing the spring resistance and adding props, you can add support or challenge to every exercise. the Reformer is low-impact and encourages you to sync your body, mind, and movement patterns. we have six Balanced Body Studio Reformers in our studio.

we are so excited for you to start your Pilates journey! please start by taking our group class BEGIN or scheduling a private introduction to Pilates. if you have injuries or are still unsure where to start, reach out to us at: hello@iv-pilates.com.

how do I book a class or join the waitlist?

we offer one week of unlimited classes for $56 to new clients - the TEASER week. we highly recommend starting with our class titled BEGIN and immersing yourself in our studio during your one week trial. for the best booking experience, download the fit by wix app and use invite code: IVP2023 to find our studio.

if a class is full, you may add yourself to the waitlist. if a spot opens up, you will receive a notification letting you know you that you have been added to the class. you will have 30 minutes to confirm your spot in the class. if you are on the waitlist and no longer able to attend, we ask that you remove yourself as you will be responsible for the class if you are added.

how do I prepare for my first class?

new clients must arrive at least 10 minutes before class so we can check you in, show you the studio, and go over anything you need us to know about your health history. if you are a new client, late entry will not be granted to class for safety reasons.

our studio is equipped with a bathroom and changing room, no showers. we have a water fountain and sell bottles of water should you forget yours.
